We’re in for a week of fried rice and thorough trolling. (Not that the trolling part came as a surprise.)
24. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

We pick up where last week left us off, Wild Tiger and Barnaby facing H-01, the rest of the heroes locked up in Rotwang’s deathtrap, and Kaede taken hostage.
It looks like they saved what budget they could for this final stretch (or maybe the studio gave them some extra funding?) because this week’s episode looked really good.
23. Misfortunes never come singly.

Then he suspects that those who want to press on Maverick’s mole will find it harder than playing ding-dong-dash – one might even die.
He draws it. (The text reads “Stop that!”)
(I admit, I laughed. Maverick makes me rage but this was still kinda funny.)
So in the episode 20 post we speculated about Lunatic might be with the “real Ouroboros” – that is, if it even exists. Something kept bothering me about the whole thing, thought… And then I remembered that Lunatic killed that guy with the Ouroboros tattoo in episode 6. That guy – let’s call him Bob for the lack of a better name – was assumed to be with Ouroboros. But what if he wasn’t?
Okay, we can stop speculating about how Barnaby’s parents died and who killed them and why. That doesn’t mean that everything is solved. Quite the opposite, in fact. And the whole jazz with how Ouroboros plays into everything still isn’t resolved.
