Bandai has given TaiBani fans a lot reasons to lose sleep and battle for their favorite Heroes in action figure form with the S.H.Figuarts line. The line so far has seen the releases of Wild Tiger, Barnaby Brooks Jr., Sky High, Darkness Bunny, Wild Tiger Masakazu Katsura original color version, and Rock Bison. Rock Bison was the third figure released in the Figuarts line back on December 17, 2011. His pre-order window opened on August 1st, and like all Tiger & Bunny merchandise it sold out in a flash. Unfortunately, I missed out on Rock Bison’s pre-order date and woke up to see the usual “Sold Out” next to his figure. Lucky for me, I was able to hunt down and obtain him a couple of weeks after his December release over at Mandarake. Now, let’s see if my hunt for Rock Bison was worth it.

Videos of Morita Masakazu at Sakuracon 2012
Last weekend was Sakuracon in Seattle, and Morita Masakazu was a guest of honor there. We got an email from Joan, one of our readers who went there. Here’s what she wrote.
I’ve been an avid follower of your site ever since the beginning and a big fan of Tiger and Bunny, so when I found out that Morita was going to be at Sakuracon, I was super stoked.
I managed to take quite a few video files, and would like to share them with you guys and the rest of the Tiger and Bunny fans. I’m still slowly uploading videos at youtube, as they’re quite large HD files, but I figured I should link you guys to the part that pertains specifically to T&B.
(I actually asked him the question!)
I hope you enjoy! The rest of the videos will be uploaded to my channel by this week.
Regards,
Joan
Thank you, and again thank you for sharing these videos!
Joan’s question was about ‘an interesting story during the recording process of Tiger and Bunny’ and Morita seems like he could keep talking about it forever. Here are the videos:
News About The Tiger & Bunny Game
Anyone still remember the Tiger & Bunny game that was announced last year? Now there’s finally some information about it in the latest issue of Newtype Ace!
The game will be for Sony PSP. You’ll be playing as Wild Tiger, Barnaby is a non-playable character but still your partner. You’ll be catching criminals and earning points in the Hero Ranking. Release is Autumn 2012, but this is probably subject to change.
By the way, PSP is region-free, so it doesn’t require hijinks to get this game to play on foreign PSPs. I’m definitely going to order it, I have my doubts that this won’t get ported to the English speaking market any time soon, if at all.
(Thanks to PJA for the tip!)
Update: Source and some more info added.
TIGER & BUNNY -The Beginning- Movie Trailer!
The movie trailer we’ve been waiting for is finally available at the official Tiger & Bunny site. As usual, normal servers aren’t built to endure a horde of T&B fans rushing to get the latest goodies, so if the video doesn’t load just wait a bit and try again.
The trailer is really short – too short in our opinion. We want more Tiger & Bunny! One thing is clear, though; they finally got some proper animation budget. The movement is so smooth. Most of the cuts shown on the trailer are new material, and we are really looking forward to seeing the rest.
Ozaki mentioned they are planning an international release for the movie, not just for the Asian market but also to the West. This probably means the countries where it was simulcast, so keep your fingers crossed…
Update: Youtube video added.
Listen to HERO RADIO On Lantis Site
Hoshizora Sunrise launched a new HERO RADIO corner on Sunday on FM NACK5. Hosted by Morita Masakazu, more or less as Barnaby Brooks Jr. You can listen to Hoshizora Sunrise through Keyhole TV, but for once we have a possibility to listen to HERO RADIO in good quality, because Lantis is streaming it.
To listen, go to the HERO RADIO page on Lantis site and pick your stream. If you’re not sure what your connection can manage, pick the 32K one – but very likely you can use the 64K one. It will open in Windows Media Player. I’m not sure if there’s a way to make this work on a Mac. Mac users, you can stream this with VLC. (Thanks, TeamKaburagi!)
The first episode of HERO RADIO features – among other things – ad-libbed songs about fried rice, and gratuituous Baningrish (Morita says Barnaby doesn’t speak English or Engrish, but Baningrish).
Morita is quite a personality, and I thought HERO RADIO was incredibly fun to listen. He did go pretty far out of character at times, though… It’s worth checking out even if you don’t speak Japanese, just for the ridiculous amounts of Baningrish.
(Thanks to @Mineko_TB for the tip on the radio!)
