BD/DVD vs TV comparisons from volume 4

Screenshot comparisons of fixes made on the latest volume that came out on Friday. Episode 8 got some much needed attention by the looks of it. (They didn’t fix “Let’s believe HEROES” though!)

(By the way, would anyone be interested in commentary/reviews of the drama CDs that come with the limited edition BDs?)

    • For the sash, I think it was because Barnaby was supposed to find it upside down?

I wanna know what’s the point of painting a car blue and changing one of the tiles in Anju’s shot.

  1. I’ve seen comments that a lot of the QUALITY has been left in episode eight. Perhaps the animators feel compelled for at least a little dose of zoomed-out DERP as an inside joke? I guess I can live with that, as long as I get some prettied-up Bunny clos-up’s…

“By the way, would anyone be interested in commentary/reviews of the drama CDs that come with the limited edition BDs?”

YES, and again, YES PLEASE! I enjoy all of your reviews/opinions/commentaries, so please don’t hold yourself back! Character-centric blog entries are also welcommed because there’s something (good) to write about each and everyone of them.

    • I actually love the QUALITY, too. It’s a constant reminder that the show has made it big on other merits than just being nicely animated. I haven’t been able to watch the BD versions yet myself, but if anything else jumps at me when I do watch them I’ll probably post about it…

Alrighty then, that should give something to do to kill time on Saturdays. It’s a long day for us Eurofags to wait for the episode to air, after all.

  2. The quality in episode 8 wasn’t that bad, in my opinion. Sure, there were some massive DERPs, but those are what make the series so unique and enjoyable! The fixing looks great, though, I especially like how Barnaby’s eyes look bigger in the BD version. Man, I can’t wait to get those Blu-Rays… When I started watching the series, I told myself: “Nah, there is no way I’m gonna buy those, they are waaay too expensive!” and then, I ordered the four first volumes last week. Sigh. You can have all my money!

Oh, and yes, I think it would be interesting to have your commentaries/reviews of the drama CDs! I don’t really listen to them because my Japanese is too derp, but I think that having your commentaries/reviews would be helpful in order to get a global idea of what they are about! :]

  3. Thanks for the pics 🙂 , it’s always interesting to see what they chose to change in the BD/DVD versions.

(By the way, would anyone be interested in commentary/reviews of the drama CDs that come with the limited edition BDs?)

Yes please! That would be great 😀 It would be fun and interesting to read your thoughts about them.
