Overwhelming interest for the event in Shinjuku

The details of the “Thank you, and again, thank you!” event for the final episode screening were announced after episode 21 had aired. The main event with cast and staff members as guests is in Shinjuku, and the theater there has 400 seats.

However, there are 60,000 people who want in.

That’s 150 times the amount of available seats. I’m not going to say I’m surprised. I didn’t check the layout of the venue when it was announced, but quite honestly I expected them to pick a bigger place.

(I feel like the headline of this post is understatement of the week. Or possibly the past 22 weeks since everything that’s Tiger & Bunny always ends up being way more popular than expected. Feels Goodman.)

Tiger & Barnaby’s character song lyrics

Kanji and romaji lyrics for the songs on Tiger & Barnaby’s character CD. The lyrics printed on the CD booklet have a typo in Barnaby’s song, I’ve corrected it in the transcript. If I’ve made any errors in the romaji, please don’t hesitate to point them out. (Sometimes I make the weirdest typos when I romanize lyrics!)

Translations for songs and drama tracks by /a/nons here.

You can buy the CD for example at CDJapan.

Masakazu Katsura’s artbook + figure set release date changed

The release date of the limited edition of character designer Masakazu Katsura‘s artbook with the original coloring version of Wild Tiger S.H. Figuarts has been changed. The new date appeared in a Rakuten store last week, but I wanted to confirm it from another source. The new release date is February 10, 2012.

The regular edition isn’t available anywhere for preorder yet, so I’m not sure if it’ll come out at the same time with the limited edition or if the release date will be different.

Other book news

  • The first official comic anthology from DNA Comics is coming out tomorrow, August 25th.
  • Another source book, “Official Guide Book Hero Gossips” from Kadokawa Shoten, is coming out in late September. It will cover the entire series and also features a new “tribute story”. Cheapest price I’ve found so far is at CDJapan, but it’s also listed in most other online stores selling Tiger & Bunny merchandise.

Kenjiro Tsuda’s Haterumade Radio from Ustream

Left to right: Yuuki Fujiwara, Masakazu Morita, Kenjiro Tsuda.

Nathan/Fire Emblem’s VA Kenjiro Tsuda‘s Haterumade Radio had a special broadcast “Tiger & Bunny episode 20 was interesting!” on Ustream after Tiger & Bunny episode 20 finished airing, hosted by Kenjiro Tsuda and Yuuki Fujiwara with Masakazu Morita (Barnaby’s VA) as guest. The recording with video included is now available on Hibiki Radio. No registration is needed to listen/watch.

The show is pretty long (over an hour runtime) and I haven’t watched it all yet, but it’s quite amusing even though they talk so fast at times I can’t keep up with it. (I can’t be the only one amused by Morita’s hairstyle, right?)
