#3 [title undecided] will feature Kurahana Chinatsu, Matsumoto Temari, Sugimoto Iqura, and more. (Street date: November 26.)

I tried to check the romaji for all those artists, please don’t hesitate to comment if I got someone’s name wrong!

And in other merchandise news (I can barely keep up with this stuff anymore), looks like there’ll be some character scents. I don’t really get the interest the Japanese have in these scents, but maybe that’s just because I’m hideously allergic to everything scented!

(ETA: Word on the boards street says that it’s Kenzo or nothing! Kenzo probably smells way better than these anyway, I’ve heard that the character scents aren’t that awesome…)

Oh and please do check out the translated interview with screenwriter Masafumi Nishida that Aki posted just earlier! (He’s the guy you can thank for Keith being Keith among other things.)

PV for MIND GAME (2nd ED) + lyrics (Updated)

PV for the 2nd ending song, MIND GAME by Tamaki was posted today on Toy’s Factory’s YouTube channel. Kanji and romaji lyrics transcribed from the video under the cut. No English translation at the moment.

Update: Full kanji and romaji lyrics + English translation. Song with karaoke timing on Nicovideo.

Artist list for the first official comic anthology

I’ve got this one on preorder, but I’m not sure yet how I’ll review all the manga. I may wait for the stuff that’s slated for September to come out so I have something to compare. (I’m pretty sure this anthology won’t have serious stories, knowing the few artists I recognise from the list.)

More manga anthologies (updated)

Apart from the already announced manga publications, I noticed a few more have stealthily popped up.

  • There are three Tiger & Bunny: GO! GO!! anthologies listed on Amazon Japan (1, 2, 3), two of them are already on Hobby Search. The anthologies are published by Movic and coming out in September/October.

Judging from the artist listing on Amazon Japan, the GO! GO!! books will probably be gag, and I know at least some of the artists have done doujinshi. The Asuka Comics anthologies will be written and illustrated by Mayu Shinjo (thanks to shukamu for the information).

I’ve preordered them all and I’m planning to review them once they arrive, if they turn out to be any good. At least books don’t sell out as fast on preorders as figures, that’s some consolation for me as a book collector. (´_ゝ`)

Hiroaki Hirata as guest on Hoshizora Sunrise radio and how to listen to it

As I mentioned in the previous post, Kotetsu’s voice actor Hiroaki Hirata will be guest on the Hoshizora Sunrise radio show that airs on FM NACK5 this Sunday, August 7th. He’ll be talking about Tiger & Bunny, and executive producer Masayuki Ozaki mentioned on Twitter yesterday that Wild Tiger’s character song would get its radio debut. The radio show is scheduled from 23:00 to 24:00 JST, and according to Twitter Hirata’s segment should start at 23:22 JST. You can check what time that is on your timezone here.

So You Want to Hear the Song? – or How to Tune In

People were asking me how to listen to this show to hear Tiger’s character song, so I decided to make a short guide. First, you’ll need to install KeyHole TV. Follow the instructions on the site on how to do it, it’s very simple. Once you have it set up and running, you need to search for the radio station on the channel list.

Type “NACK5” in the search box and hit enter. There should only be one listed.

Double-click on that to tune in. The video area will be empty, don’t let it bother you. And now you’re all set to listen to the show. (The audio quality may not be the most awesome, but it’s adequate in my experience.)

(You can also watch Japanese TV programs – such as Tiger & Bunny – using Keyhole TV!)
