Episode 20 or could this get any worse?

Things just keep getting worse and worse. And what makes it even worse than that is that there are still five episodes left and we’re not sure if our bodies can take all this.

This episode had some really horribly derpy animation in the beginning, but to be honest I think it just adds to the charm of the series. Tiger & Bunny is even more awesome considering how well it sells compared to many other series with better animation. These guys are doing it right, despite being so constricted by the shoe-lace budget. (And I have no doubt this episode will receive corrections for the BD/DVD release.)

20. Full of courtesy, full of craft.

Cast comments from the Official Hero Book

Hi guys, it’s Aki again! To outweigh the amount of suffering the last episode threw into our faces, I bring you the mini-interviews with seiyuus from the Official Hero Book. Warnings: massive seiyuu moe and Morita being a giant Barnaby fanboy tl;dr the usual.

Cut for a massive wall of text. (And you can read more translated interviews here.)

Updated to fix romaji, this is what happens when I type up stuff after episode 20 while wanting to toss tables. For srs. ( ゚Д゚ノ)ノ~┻┻
I was pretty excited about this CD when it was announced and every time there’s updated information I get more excited. I love the cover, too, with Bunny’s unfortunate posing again.
If you haven’t heard the voice actors sing before, you can find some samples here. (My favourite tracks for them are Asterisk by Morita and Rebirth by Hirata, btw.)

I tried to check the romaji for all those artists, please don’t hesitate to comment if I got someone’s name wrong!

And in other merchandise news (I can barely keep up with this stuff anymore), looks like there’ll be some character scents. I don’t really get the interest the Japanese have in these scents, but maybe that’s just because I’m hideously allergic to everything scented!

(ETA: Word on the boards street says that it’s Kenzo or nothing! Kenzo probably smells way better than these anyway, I’ve heard that the character scents aren’t that awesome…)

Oh and please do check out the translated interview with screenwriter Masafumi Nishida that Aki posted just earlier! (He’s the guy you can thank for Keith being Keith among other things.)

Interview with Nishida from the Official Hero Book

Hi guys! Sufferday tomorrow, so I have a translation for you to make the wait more bearable yeah right.

This time it’s an interview with Nishida Masafumi from the Official Hero Book. He makes a few interesting points about the show while trolling with some almost-spoilers.

Q: First, tell us about the progress of your involvement into the show.

Nishida: First the director, Satou Keiichi, looked over the productions I had been involved in and asked if I could create dialogue with a similar atmosphere for his anime. However, the truth is… At that time I was busy with other work so I refused once, but he talked me into meeting with the producer (laughs). I’m really grateful for that.
